The City of Hutchinson announced on Facebook that South Main Street has reopened.
Due to the ongoing demolition of the Woodie Seat Bridge, the four-way stop at Avenue F and Main St. will remain. Avenue E will remain closed for one block east and west of Main Street.
South Main Street was closed on Feb. 22 after a 10-inch gas line ruptured at Steffen’s Auto Parts, destroying the building and forcing the evacuation of the area from Avenue A to Avenue F and from Plum to Adams Streets.
Sidewalks along South Main Street may reopen as early as Thursday.
