LETTER: Probst advocated for small business in Topeka

I’m a downtown business owner here in Hutchinson. I’m supporting Jason [Probst] for a lot of reasons, but I think I would certainly say that Jason is one of the rare ones. Jason is the one who shows up every single day for his community, whether it’s the individual people in the community, the businesses in the community, etc.

I have firsthand experience with this. A few years ago, my business went through a challenge and Jason showed up. He was there day in and day out, and it wasn’t just that he showed up in support, he showed up and actually helped us get a resolution to the problem by working through Topeka and the powers that be up there, and if it wasn’t for him, there’s no way that we would have succeeded. Thankfully, we did so we’re still here, a happy, thriving business in downtown Hutchinson, and the only thing I’m disappointed about is that we’ve missed Jason in office the last couple of years, and we can’t wait to see him back in Topeka. Jason is a wonderful friend and an even better human being.
