COLWICH—Looking for some Fall fun this weekend…check out Woody’s Family Farm in Maize.
It is a new adventure for Stacy Woodard, an educator at the Maize Career Academy and her family. During the day she teaches agricultural classes and then, come Friday thru Sunday, the family welcomes visitors to their farm at 7799 W. 53rd N., Maize, or basically located on 53rd Street between Ridge and Tyler Roads.
Open dates are through Nov. 1. Check out their October newsletter at: Woodysfamilyfarmks.com.

Planned closing date is Wednesday, Oct. 28. If that should change, I will notify vendors and the public.
It might be changed, because earlier vegetables are growing again!
Seeds & Saws, Inc. was selling freshly grown green beans from his local farm! He informed me his spaghetti squash is vibrant, as well. I’ve seen other notices of flowers returning on Facebook.
If you’re looking for pumpkins and gourds, check out Zeller Farms. They will be at the market.
Addie’s Sweet Treats, home bakery on the weekends, is selling sourdough breads, kitchen sink cookies, jumbo cinnamon rolls, sourdough oatmeal cream cookies, and pumpkin streusel muffins with honey glaze.
TNT Pharma LLC is selling beautiful pepper plants, purple grass, succulents, coleus in different colors and sand plum jelly.
Redbarn Lane Market is advertising Cookie Week.
Clark’s Pecans sells picked and cleaned pecans for $10 per pound.
Fresh eggs and locally raised honey is available through the Lonely Oak Farms.
Betty Hein, Andale, is also selling her eggs.
Last week, the Houser Food Truck had food specials, along with shaved ice delights.
Freeze-dried popcorn was the special for the Heavenly Bites, Bob & Sue Felkins, along with their other fruits and veggies.
Christopher Allen, Betzen Family Farm LLC, baked some bread with his special flour…check him out.
Then, as for Barndough Co, Kristy Gehling, will not be at the market anymore. Watch for the market sign in the park to see if vendors are open.

Trunk or Treat is planned for Saturday, Oct. 24, from 7 to 8 p.m. There is room for more trunks!

Please check with this week’s bulletin for important dates for events featuring Bishop Kemme. There was a funeral this week for Thomas Weninger. Remember him and the family in your prayers. Also, if you have a new Halloween costume, the Lord’s Diner would enjoy them for the kids who come to the Diner.
That’s it for me. Pay attention to the weather reports this week…there are severe warnings predicted. ’Til next week…
