The Hutchinson Landmarks Commission on April 9 tabled action on whether to allow repainting of signs on the brick of the McVay Building, which is listed as a contributing building in the Hutchinson Downtown Core South Historic District. Commission members present expressed support for the full project, despite a recommendation by the State Historic Preservation Office to disallow repainting signs on the east and north facades, but they couldn’t take action because they lacked a quorum.
