HUTCHINSON—The City of Hutchinson Public Works Department will begin repairs on Monday, Dec. 8, to address a failure in the stormwater line crossing N. Plum Street between East 3rd Avenue and East 4th Avenue.
Due to the severity of the failure, crews will need to open-cut the street to remove the damaged pipe and install new stormwater infrastructure. This work requires a full closure of N. Plum Street in both directions within the project limits.
The closure is expected to last approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
A two-week detour will be in place for both northbound and southbound traffic.
