Reno County’s Lahan elected to state court association

TOPEKA—Reno County court services officer Travis Lahann was elected as the training chair of the Kansas Association of Court Services Officers at the association’s fall conference.

Tom Weishaar, chief court services officer in the 1st Judicial District, was re-elected president of the association.

Other officers elected are:

  • Julie Whitney, treasurer. Whitney is chief court services officer for the 5th Judicial District, which is composed of Chase and Lyon counties.
  • Willie Williams, parliamentarian. Williams is a court services officer for the Wyandotte County District Court, which is the 29th Judicial District.
  • Natasha Fromholtz, public relations chair. Fromholtz is a court services officer for the Sherman County District Court in the 15th Judicial District, which is composed of Cheyenne, Logan, Rawlins, Sheridan, Sherman, Thomas, and Wallace counties.
  • Mollie Athon, interim legislative chair. Athon is a court services officer for the 1st Judicial District. She fills the unexpired term of Kevin Waring, chief court services officer for the 1st Judicial District.

The Kansas Association of Court Services Officers was formed in 1980 and is open to all court services officers. Its mission is to challenge, educate, support, and advocate for its members by promoting fellowship and professionalism, provide relevant training opportunities, and maintain communication with all members.
