Woodworker makes number blocks for kindergarten classrooms

Woodworker Darrell Burns of Hutchinson demonstrates how Montessori-inspired number blocks he made stack up to the same height as their sums: a 3 and a 4 together are as tall as a 7, which is as tall as a 2 and a 5. Burns has donated a set of the blocks to each kindergarten classroom in the Hutchinson and Buhler school districts, with more planned. CREDIT ADAM STEWART | HUTCHINSON TRIBUNE STAFF
