Buhler Mennonite Church and IdeaTek to host food packing event

BUHLER—Buhler Mennonite Church and IdeaTek are looking for volunteers to pack 50,000 meals for food-insecure local households at Sand Hills Event Center in Hutchinson on Dec. 6.

The volunteers will be split into two shifts, one working from 9 to 11 a.m. and one from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Volunteers will also be able to work both shifts if they’d like. They are looking for 90 volunteers for each shift.

Anyone age 7 and above is invited to volunteer.

The event is facilitated by an organization called The Outreach Program, aiming to combat food insecurity.
