The granddaughter of the owners of the Hutchinson Monarchs is preparing for the National American Miss pageant, Nov. 21 to 28, in Florida.

Acelyn Krueger of Clearwater won the Miss Kansas Princess title in July. Marc and Kim Blackim, owners and operators of the Hutchinson Monarchs baseball team, are her grandparents.

“We have a real princess,” Kim Blackim said in a news release.

The princess division is the youngest division in the National American Miss organization, for girls ages 4 to 6.

Acelyn’s family is having a fundraiser to help offset the costs of traveling for the national pageant. The fundraiser will continue through Nov. 14. Details are available on the Hutchinson Monarchs Facebook page.
