Hutch Brewfest is set to take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Farmers Market Pavilion, hosting 13 local beer vendors as well as a homebrew competition.
Some of the vendors at Brewfest include Sandhills Brewing, Salt City Brewing, White Crow Cider Company out of Wichita, and Radius Brewing Company out of Emporia.
This is the fifth annual iteration of the event, which takes place on the first Saturday of October
The Brewfest will be hosting an event called the homebrew competition, where amateur brewers can register to compete and see whose flavor is most appealing to the judges. The winner will have the opportunity to add their homemade beer to Sandhills Brewing’s menu. There will also be a People’s Choice Award for the beer that was most appealing to the Brewfest patrons.
All money raised will go to the Hutch Rec Foundation.
Tickets are available on Hutch Rec’s website, hutchrec.com.
