Salt City Races will take place Saturday, Oct. 4, at Carey Park.
New to the event is the 8K race, which will begin at 8 a.m.. There will also be a 5K race that starts at 8:15 a.m. and a 1-mile fun run which begins at 8:30 a.m..
The 8K and 5K are chip-timed, so runners will know exactly how long it took them to finish the race.
All routes start and finish at Salt City Splash, where, after the race, there will be refreshments, awards, and a celebration.
There will be individual awards for the fastest finishers, as well as medals for all finishers.
Those who preregister for the event are more likely to receive a T-shirt in their size.
