Hutchinson Community Foundation seeks applicants for board, committees

The Hutchinson Community Foundation is looking for volunteers to serve on its board of directors, standing committees, and Youth Philanthropy Council.

The board of directors provides governance for the foundation, helps make decisions about its strategic direction and initiatives, and serves as ambassadors for the foundation and on issues it deems important.

The foundation’s standing committees are the Donor Focus Committee, focused on donor relations and fundraising; the Grants Committee, focused on evaluating grant proposals; and the Investment Committee, focused on the foundation’s investments and working with its investment manager.

The board of directors and standing committees meet either monthly or every other month.

Applications for the board of directors and standing committees are due Sept. 1.

The Youth Philanthropy Council is made of Reno County high school students who evaluate proposals and award $5,000 in grants to youth-serving organizations. It meets in the fall and winter. Applications for the Youth Philanthropy Council are due Sept. 19.

The applications can be found online at https://hutchcf.org/about-us/volunteering-with-hutchinson-community-foundation/. If potential applicants have questions, they can call the Hutchinson Community Foundation at 620-663-5293.
