  • “O Brother, Where Art Thou?,” part of the Fox Classic Film Series, 7 p.m. at the Fox Theatre, 18 E 1st Ave. Admission is $5. The Fox Film Series Passes are $45 and include 10 admissions and 5 small popcorns

Friday May 30

  • Salt City Racing at the Kansas State Fairgrounds. Pits open at 3. Gates open at 5. Hot laps at 6:30 and the races begin at 7. Visit the Salt City Racing website for more information and to purchase advance tickets
  • “Miscast Cabaret: A Stage 9 Fundraiser,” 7 p.m. at Stage 9, 9 S Main St. Adult tickets are $35 and include one drink ticket and one hors d’oeuvres ticket. Additional drinks and snacks are available for purchase. A silent auction.
  • Hutchinson Monarchs v Newton Rebels baseball, 7 p.m. at Hobart-Detter Field in Carey Park

  • Sand Plum Bicycle Classic. Ride distances are 18, 24, 52, and 64 “Bad Bobby.” Start times are 7 a.m. for the 53+ mile races, 8 for the shorter routes at Wheatland Park in Buhler.
