HUTCHINSON—Soil & Soul will have an event for farm and ranch families, ag industry professionals, supporters and others who work closely with ag producers to build understanding around stress and well-being and strengthen a more supportive ag community.
The event on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Hilton Garden inn in Hutchinson will be the second in a two-part series on the subject. The earlier event in July was geared toward bankers, lenders, implement dealers, agronomists and other professions that work closely with ag producers.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Mark Mayfield, author of “I’m Not Okay, You’re Not Okay, and That’s Okay,” and a former National FFA president. Other featured speakers are Kansas Farm Bureau 2025 Rural Minds Matter Advocate of the Year Sarah Gideon, Rural Minds Matter Young Advocate of the Year Thomas Eisenbarth and agronomist and therapist Camron Nisly.
The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with coffee, doughnuts and networking, before a welcome and introductions at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served, and the event will wrap up around 3 p.m.
Soil & Soul is presented by Buhler Mennonite Church and Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church. There is no cost to attend, but organizers encourage registration online at surveymonkey.com/r/R97PHJH.
