Entrepreneurs to speak about ‘bootcamp’ experience

By Hutchinson Tribune Staff

HUTCHINSON—Participants in an entrepreneurship “bootcamp” will share what they have been working on in the program at StartUp Hutch’s next Entrepreneurship Connections event on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

StartUp Hutch introduced the six-week Avante program this fall to help early-stage entrepreneurs build stronger foundations for their businesses. Participants are working through practical topics related to developing an idea, understanding customers, building a sustainable business model and planning next steps, StartUp Hutch said in a news release.

“We’ve been really encouraged by how this first Avante cohort has come together,” said Graham Klemme, executive director of StartUp Hutch. “The participants are putting in the work, asking good questions and making real progress on their ideas and businesses. We’re incredibly grateful to Heartland Credit Union for believing in the program and making it possible for us to offer Avante at no cost to participants. Their support has helped us give early-stage entrepreneurs more room to focus on learning, building and moving their businesses forward.”

Heartland Credit Union sponsored the inaugural program, enabling StartUp Hutch to offer it at no cost to participants. Heartland Credit Union representatives will share why the credit union chose to support the program.

Entrepreneurship Connections will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Sandhills Brewing, 111 W. Second Ave., Hutchinson.
