School bond meetings scheduled

HUTCHINSON—Hutchinson USD 308 will have community meetings on four consecutive Wednesdays beginning Oct. 7 about the proposed bond issue on the Nov. 3 ballot.

The bond, if passed by voters, would be for $36 million for improvements to the district’s existing schools, including safety and security improvements, HVAC and roofing projects and food service improvements.

The community meetings will be on Oct. 7 and 14 at Hutchinson Middle School 7, 210 E. Ave. A, and Oct. 21 and 28 at the Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Academy, 800 E. 15th Circle. All will begin at 6 p.m. and have a come-and-go format.

The district invites residents to learn more about the bond proposal, ask questions, and share their thoughts. Information about the bond is also available at hutchbond.com.
