HUTCHINSON—The Hutchinson Police Department arrested 19-year-old Teyton T. Savage Dobbins on attempted first-degree murder, aggravated burglary and five counts of attempted aggravated burglary on June 2 after he allegedly attempted to force entry into a residence with an axe.
At approximately 2:16 a.m., officers located Savage Dobbins and took him into custody behind a residence in the 700 block of West 13th Avenue.
At 2:30 a.m., HPD, Reno County EMS and the Hutchinson Fire Department were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of West 14th Avenue for a female who sustained injuries. When first responders arrived on scene, they found the victim suffering from life-threatening injuries believed to have been caused by an edged weapon. She was transported to a hospital in Wichita, where she remains in critical condition.
Residents in the area where the original incidents occurred reported additional crimes, and Savage Dobbins was identified as the suspect.
Savage Dobbins was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment and was later released. Following his release, he was arrested and transported to the Reno County Correctional Facility. These charges involve multiple victims and locations.
Savage Dobbins was arrested on attempted first-degree murder, aggravated burglary, five counts of attempted aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated burglary-domestic violence, felony criminal damage to property and misdemeanor criminal damage to property.
All defendants are innocent unless they are found guilty in court.
