HUTCHINSON—This month, Third Thursday on Nov. 20 will feature a special Tree Lighting Ceremony organized by Hutch Rec and the City of Hutchinson.
At 6 p.m., a short program will start in DCI Park at 2nd Avenue and Main Street, preceding the lighting of the community’s new 30-foot Christmas tree. This program will include performances from Family Community Theater’s current production of “A Christmas Story, The Musical,” a special story time accompanied by remarks from Mayor Stacy Goss, and a drumline countdown with Hutchinson High School.
To mark the official beginning of the holiday season in Downtown Hutchinson, Mayor Goss will flip the switch to light the tree at 6:30 p.m.
