MOUNT HOPE—Evergy customers in the Mount Hope area will be without power from about midnight tonight to 4 a.m. Friday.
Evergy needs to replace a power pole that feeds the city of Mount Hope and estimates this will take its crews four hours.
This planned maintenance will strengthen reliability, especially as Evergy heads into cold weather season, an Evergy spokesperson said. When planned maintenance requires disrupting power, Evergy schedules it to minimize the impact to customers, the spokesperson said.
In this case, an overnight outage was determined to be the least disruptive.
