Remar elected to cinema association board

HUTCHINSON—Members of the Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) recently elected Cosmosphere President and CEO Jim Remar to the organization’s board of directors for 2026, the Cosmosphere announced Thursday.

“I am honored to serve on the GSCA Board and look forward to collaborating with fellow board members to advance immersive, educational, and high-quality giant screen experiences,” Remar said in a news release.

The Cosmosphere is the home of the Carey Digital Dome Theater, a two-story dome with 4K digital projection that screens science documentaries on weekdays and feature films on weekends.

The GSCA includes about 200 theaters, production companies, film distributors, and related businesses. Remar’s term on the board begins Jan. 1, according to the news release.
