City, school races on ballot in Sedgwick County

Voters in northwest Sedgwick County have city and school district general elections to vote in now through Nov. 4.

Voters can look up their registration, find their polling place, and view sample ballots with the Kansas Secretary of State’s office by visiting myvoteinfo.voteks.org/VoterView. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Advance voting

Registered voters may vote in advance between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Sedgwick County Elections Office, 510 N. Main St., Suite 101, Wichita. Early voting closes at noon Nov. 3.

Alternatively, satellite early voting locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 30-31 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 1, at several locations, listed at sedgwickcounty.org/elections/voting-options/early-voting/. None of the satellite locations are in Andale, Colwich, Garden Plain, or Mount Hope, but any registered voter in Sedgwick County can vote in advance at any satellite location.

Races and candidates

The cities of Andale, Colwich, Garden Plain, and Mount Hope and Renwick USD 267 all have races on the ballot.

Andale City Council

Colwich City Council

At-Large (3): Sean Black, Kurt Burkhart, Jesse P. Kraus, Brock Neville, Tylor Struckman

Garden Plain

Mayor (1): Candye Daughhetee, Kevin R. Hammond

City Council, At-Large (2): Jessica Lyman, Tracy Thul

Mount Hope City Council

At-Large (3):  Daniel Coble, Daniel Johnson, Denise McGrew, Matthew Morris, Chris Rasmussen, Patrick Youngkin

Renwick USD 267 Board of Education

Position 1 (1): Thomas Peltzer
