Hutchinson Community College Theatre’s latest production, “Continuity” is set to open at 7 p.m., Friday at Stringer Fine Arts Center.

There will also be showings at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

“Continuity” is about a film crew attempting to shoot a movie about a climate change disaster. Meanwhile, it feels like the world around them is falling apart. The play is a dark comedy that blends urgency with humor and explores humanity’s tendency towards persistence and storytelling.

“What I love about ‘Continuity’ is how it mixes humor with some really big questions about our world and our future,” HutchCC Director of Theatre Deidre Mattox said. “It’s a story that feels timely, but also really fun to experience with an audience. I think people will leave the theatre laughing, thinking, and talking about it.”

Tickets are available at the door before the show.
