Hutchinson Recreation Commission has hired St. John native Ethan Huston as the new nature education coordinator at Dillon Nature Center, it announced in a news release Thursday.
Huston, whose hobbies include hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, and entomology (the study of insects), graduated from McPherson College with a degree in environmental stewardship.
Huston, who began his role on Sept. 8, coordinates and oversees education programs for all ages, both at the nature center and at local schools.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to inspire a love for nature in future generations and to help connect people with the outdoors,” Huston said in the release. “I look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of Dillon Nature Center as a place where learning and fun go hand in hand.”
