Healthy Neighborhood Initiative wants to get Hutch talking

Thursday, Aug. 21, at 6 p.m., Let’s Talk Hutch with Jason Probst and Denice Gililand will be at DCI Park.

The event is organized by Healthy Neighborhood Initiative and K-State Research and Extension in an effort to allow the community to voice their input and ideas for the programs.

This is the second event in the series, with the first one hosting 18 residents at Sandhills Brewing last Thursday, Aug. 14.

“From home repair help and gardening resources to safety concerns and advocacy tools,” Healthy Neighborhood Initiative said. “We’re here to listen.”

The last meeting had four breakout groups, focused on home repair and maintenance, civic engagement, healthy living, and skills and hobbies, allowing attendees to swap ideas and stories.
