The Hutchinson Tribune will have new owners effective June 1, 2025.

Kansas Publishing Ventures, managed by Joey and Lindsey Young, has purchased The Hutchinson Tribune from owners Michael Glenn and Gina Long. Jackson Swearer will be the publication’s new publisher.

Glenn and Long began The Tribune in July 2023 and have run the company as a partnership, with Glenn as publisher and Long as editor.

“Two years ago, I never imagined the growth of our publication would take us to where we are today,” Glenn said. “I am grateful to have had this experience and am confident the new owners will continue to provide quality coverage of news to Hutchinson and Reno County.”

Kansas Publishing Ventures also runs publications in Newton, Hillsboro and Andale.

“We’re really excited,” Joey said. “I’ve always felt like we would do this ever since the Hutch News sold to Gatehouse. I’ve always felt drawn back home in a lot of ways. We’re really excited to have the opportunity to take over this news publication, and we will do our best to serve Hutchinson the best we know how.”

Both Joey and Lindsey are from Reno County.
