The Andale High School girls and boys swept the team titles at Friday’s 13-school Salthawk Invitational, which took place at Gowans Stadium.
The Andale girls scored 134 points and the Andale boys tallied 129.
The Hutchinson High School girls placed 10th with 30 points and the Salthawk boys finished 11th with 28.
One of the highlights of the invitational was Maize High School’s Alan Hanna clearing a personal record of 7-foot-2 in the high jump. His previous high was 7-1. Hanna, an all-state basketball player, is the defending Class 6A state champion in the high jump.
Hanna is one of 12 high jumpers in Kansas history who have cleared 7-2.

Hutchinson senior KeiRre Martinez placed second in the girls long jump with a mark of 17-7. Andale’s Rylee Meyer placed first at 7-7 with fewer attempts than Martinez.
Hutchinson’s Avery Tecklenburg placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 29.5 seconds and was fifth in the girls 1600-meter run with a time of 5:50.35.
Hutchinson’s Madalyn Moore placed third in the girls triple jump at 34-9.
Hutchinson’s Daniel Boone placed fourth in the boys long jump with an effort of 21-5 1/2 and was fifth in the triple jump at 38-7.
The Hutchinson boys 4×100-meter relay team placed fifth with a time of 43.98 seconds. The 4×400 relay placed sixth in 3:37.41.
Hutchinson’s Cooper Harris placed fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 43.77 seconds.
Hutchinson’s Kyndra Gaines placed sixth in the discus throw with a toss of 100 feet, 3 inches.
Hutchinson’s Kaleb Cape placed seventh in the boys discus with an effort of 133-5.
Hutchinson’s Camrynn Harris placed sixth in the boys 100-meter dash with a time of 11.1 seconds after posting an 11.11 time in the preliminaries. He also placed sixth in the 200 with a time of 22.64 after posting a prelim time of 22.92.
The Hutchinson girls 4×100-meter relay placed eighth with a time of 52.35 seconds. The Salthawk girls 4×400-meter relay team placed with a 4:30.54.

Halstead softball team swept by Hoisington
The Halstead High School softball team lost two one-run decisions in a doubleheader Friday night.
Hoisington won the first game 2-1 and won the second game 4-3.
