The Hutchinson Central Christian and Hutchinson Trinity boys golf teams dominated the Central Christian Invitational Monday at the par-71 Carey Park Golf Course.
Central Christian won the tournament team title with a 313 score and placed three golfers in the top four, four in the top 10 and five in the top 14.
Trinity finished second with a 321 score and placed five golfers in the top nine and six in the top 16.
Central Christian’s Nathan Reed and Ryland Kooiman tied for first place with 5-over-par 76s. Russell’s Jake Mooney placed third with a 77.
Then Trinity took the next five spots. Ian Shaw, Seamus Hogan and Miles Blaylock tied for fifth place with 80s. Lincoln Barnes and Tyler Casebolt tied for eighth with 81s.
Central Christian’s Tyler Reed placed 10th with an 82 and Brady Froese tied for 14th with an 88. Trinity’s Matt Armour placed 16th with a 91.
Nickerson tied for seventh place with Herington with a 436 team total. Inman posted a 477 score and placed 11th.
Nickerson’s Addrick Nelson tied for 20th place with 96, followed by Kolten Altvater, tied for 27th, 101; Jacob Myers, 47th, 119; and Kyler Nikkel and Hayden Mathis, tied for 48th, 120.
Inman was paced by Creighton Fries, tied for 22nd, 98; Keetan McEuen, 35th, 108; Paul Funk, 58th, 134; and Devin Penner, 59th, 137.
Russell placed third with a 357 score, followed by Marion 370, Goessel 411 and Larned 414. Sedgwick placed ninth with a 437 score, followed by Sedgwick with 437.
On the Central Christian Invitational results, Lost Springs-Centre is listed first with an 85 score (one golfer), Whitewater-Remington is second with 121 (one golfer) and Berean Academy is third with 270 (three golfers), but the schools did not field full teams.

Buhler varsity golfers 8th at Andover Central Invitational
The Buhler High School varsity boys golf team placed eighth at the Andover Central Invitational Monday at the par-71 Terradyne Country Club.
Buhler posted a 334 team score, led by Zach Chance who tied for sixth place with a 5-over-par 76. Drew DeMeyer tied for 14th place with 79, followed by Nick Chance, tied for 31st, 85; James Dingler, tied for 59th, 94; Brennan Geilenfeldt, 62nd, 97; Jace Heimerman, tied for 64th, 100.
Andover won the team title with a 299 score and placed five golfers in the top 14 and six in the top 20.
Andover Central’s Colt Farrow won first-place medalist honors with a 72. His team placed second with a 312 score.
The Buhler junior varsity squad competed in the nine-hole El Dorado JV Invitational Monday.
Buhler’s Landon Wood and Mason Jones tied for 17th with 52 scores. Teammates Talan Martin tied for 24th, 54; Jacopo Vanni, tied 32nd, 56; Jackson Gehring, tied 37th, 58; and Jerrick Gray, 41st, 60.

Buhler baseball, softball teams roll past Wellington
The Buhler High School baseball team swept a doubleheader from Wellington Monday. Buhler won the first game 11-1 and the second game 5-3.
The Buhler varsity softball team defeated Wellington 9-1 and the Buhler JV softball team beat Wellington 9-0.
Trinity baseball team drops two, Celtic softball team splits with Sedgwick
The Hutchinson Trinity Celtics baseball team lost two games to Sedgwick Monday at Rice Park in Hutchinson.
The Cardinals won the first game 15-2 and the second game 5-2.
The Hutchinson Trinity Celtics softball team defeated Sedgwick 10-4 in the first game. Sedgwick won the second game 22-4.
Reed was champion in CCS Invitational. Won in a playoff.
