Hutchinson High School junior Kohlbie Craft announced on social media that she will play softball at Hutchinson Community College starting in fall 2026.
Craft is a 5-foot-8 right-handed pitcher/first baseman/third baseman/power hitter. She has a 3.50 grade point average, according to the Fieldlevel website.
“I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my education and softball career at Hutchinson Community college,” Craft said on her Facebook page.
“I can’t wait to take this next step and be part of such an amazing program. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, especially my parents and coaches.”
Craft also is a member of the Salthawk girls basketball team. Hutchinson, guided by second-year coach Kalen Hilst, finished with a 15-7 record in 2024-25.
Craft scored 17 points in a 43-34 victory over Maize on Feb. 26.
In addition to playing softball and basketball for Hutchinson High School, Craft is also a member of the Central Kansas Crushers 18-and-under softball team.
“Another 18U Crusher committed to follow their dreams of playing in college,” said Central Kansas Crushers Baseball and Softball Academy coach John Young on the team’s Facebook page.
“Congrats to Kohlbie Craft on committing to HCC. We are looking forward to watching you drop BOMBS for the Blue Dragons.”
