Schools in the Hutchinson Tribune coverage area will be closed Monday because of the blizzard that hit the states of Kansas and Missouri Saturday and Sunday and closed down major highways.
Activities such as sporting events have been canceled.
Nearly all of the high schools in the state of Kansas will be closed on Monday because of the weather.
The first day of school in the second semester for Hutchinson students in USD 308 is Tuesday.
The first day of school in the second semester for Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School and Junior High School is Tuesday.
The Trinity junior high school girls and boys basketball games at Marion Monday have been postponed.
Hutchinson Community College offices are closed on Monday. The second semester starts on Monday, Jan. 13.
