The No. 1 team got win No. 1 Friday night.
The Hutchinson Community College women’s basketball team, top-ranked defending NJCAA champions, opened the 2024-2025 season with a 79-45 victory over Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa at the NOC Gymnasium in Tonkawa.
Hutchinson hosts Neosho County at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
The Blue Dragons will host the BSN Tip-Off Classic Nov. 8 and 9 (Friday and Saturday). The Blue Dragons play the Tabor College junior varsity at 5:30 p.m. Friday and Murray State College at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The HutchCC Blue Dragon men’s basketball team opens the season Tuesday at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. The Blue Dragons host Hesston College at 7:30 p.m.
The Hutchinson men host Southwestern Christian College Nov. 8 and Labette Community College Nov. 9 in the BSN Classic. Both games tip off at 7:30 p.m.
