The Hutchinson Salthawks are on the road Friday night.
Hutchinson High School (3-2) plays Campus (0-5) at 7 p.m. Friday at Haysville. The Campus Colts have been outscored 310-20 and were shutout in their first three games.
Salthawks’ senior fullback Kade Smith has rushed for 955 yards and seven touchdowns this season. Terrell King has 152 yards rushing and Jeremyah Gaitho Karanu has 105.
Quarterback Levi Kepler has 177 yards passing. Mitchell Rice has 4 catches for 41 yards, Karmelo Green has 3 catches for 67 yards and Taishaun Williams has 3 catches for 49 yards.
The Salthawks’ defense has intercepted six passes.
Hutchinson High School received votes in Class 5A polls by both Kansas Pregame and Varsity Kansas.

In other area high school football games Friday night, Buhler (3-2) plays at El Dorado (0-5), Burrton (1-4) has an open date, Pretty Prairie (0-5) plays at Fairfield (2-3), Halstead (1-4) hosts Ellsworth (5-0), Haven (4-1) plays at Belle Plaine (0-5), Hutchinson Central Christian (4-1) hosts Argonia-Attica (4-1), Hutchinson Trinity (2-3) hosts Ellinwood (4-1) for homecoming, Inman (3-2) plays at Sedgwick (4-0), Nickerson (0-5) plays at Lyons (1-4), the Reno County Sabres (5-0) play an 11-man game at Douglass (1-4) and Sterling (3-2) hosts Conway Springs (5-0).
Buhler is ranked eighth in Class 5A in the Kansas Pregame Week 6 football media poll released on Thursday and is eighth in the Varsity Kansas poll.
Haven is among the “next five out” in Class 2A by Varsity Kansas. Sterling is eighth in Class 1A by Varsity Kansas.
Hutchinson Central Christian is ranked eighth in Eight-Man II and received votes from Kansas Pregame. The Cougars led by senior quarterback Nathan Reed and senior running back Ry Kooiman.
Reed has completed 69% of his passes (60 of 87) for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns. Kooiman has carried the ball 100 times for 777 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Senior Jayden Linscheid has been Reed’s top target, catching 25 passes for 331 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The Cougars, who dropped their opener 54-50 to Sunrise Christian, are averaging 48.8 points per game and have posted two shutouts.
