Hutch High boys soccer player Lucas Witt honored by Ad Astra Radio
Hutchinson High School boys soccer player Lucas Witt, a defender for the Salthawks, was named the Ad Astra Radio Athlete of the Week.
According to Ad Astra Radio, Witt was instrumental in the Salthawks’ 4-3 win on Sept. 24 against Goddard Eisenhower.
In addition to helping stave off a late comeback attempt from the Tigers, Witt also helped the Salthawks build their lead with a picture-perfect
50-yard pass that led to a goal, Witt’s first assist of the season.
Witt had to reinvent himself this season, as the senior made the move to central defense. His strength, speed and vision have made him a natural for the position
Witt has made the transition comfortably, a big part to Hutchinson’s 7-1-1 record through Oct. 1.
