The Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School volleyball team has seven seniors who want to put the 2023 season behind them.
“We finished 4-35 — obviously not how we wanted our season to go,” said hird-year Volleyball Coach Lauren Cost. “We have a strong senior class returning seven players from last year. They will be bringing a lot of playing experience and have a hunger to leave a mark their senior year.”
Leading the charge for the Celtics are Mattie Galliher (2023 2nd Team All-League), Alexis Springer, Aubrey Hageman, Addi Crockett and Bella Bergmeier.
Gigi Batista and Margaret Carroll round out the senior class.
“They also bring to the table varsity playing experience and leadership qualities,” Cost said.
The Celtics have a couple of underclassmen Eilley Cost and Alex Suter-Tan “that saw court time last season who I expect will really grow this season,” Cost added.
“I think we have other athletes that were developing last year that have the ability to come off the bench and make a big impact for us,” Cost said. “As for opponents, I think every program has the ability to win in our league, but Inman and Sedgwick are probably the standouts.”
